My Professional Bio
Yoga is the framework for healthy living for American Yoga teacher Kassia Rose. Teaching how to integrate yoga into life is her passion. In the beginning, as a child Kassia Roses’ yoga was playing in her room, imitating the poses in her parents’ metaphysical books, dancing jazz, tap and ballet and praying as a regular practice as she grew up in the church. In the absence of the internet and armed with a library card by the age of 3 she developed her curiosity for mind body connection spanning a myriad of studies in all areas of spiritual, physical and personal development.
After her career in entertainment as a nightclub manager and Las Vegas showgirl, In 2011 Kassia Rose was honored to begin her formal study of yoga in earnest with Keita at Love is Yoga to complete her first 200hr training and RYT certification during her pregnancy with her first daughter. In 2014, To deepen her study in Vinyasa Flow she studied another 200hrs with Elenor Cohen of Pureflow. Ending in 2015 and through and the pregnancy of her second daughter she finished another 300hrs at The Stress Management Center of Southern Nevada with Kathleen Grace Santor to achieve the RYT 500 level with Yoga Alliance. During her career she has continued her education in Yin, Ashtanga, Yoga for Seniors in Las Vegas and Yoga for Children completing another teacher training in 2016 with Imagination Yoga in Portland, Oregon where she resides, practices and teaches.
Nine years of professional teaching has brought her to E-RYT and a YACEP certifications, teaching workshops, public classes and teaching teachers for their CEU'S while she raises her children. Her experience in church, nightlife and yoga has shown her that when people come together to celebrate, they heal. With this knowledge Kassia’s classes celebrate movement, breath and reverence with gratitude and honor to the classic and modern yogic systems. Kassia's classes offer people the time to regain balance and return to their inner sense of peace.
Kassia is known for playfully instructing and breaking down all yoga poses to make them accessible and fun! Her strengths lie in deconstructing commonly misaligned asanas so everyone can experience heightened awareness about safe alignment. She has also helped many individuals dealing with work stress and burnout. She offers workshops that integrate her knowledge of relaxation methods for quieting the mind, visual and creative journaling, mindfulness and other approaches to reducing and managing stress.
